This yearlong experience will include live webinar training, independent team learning, and an ongoing cohort to help you set goals and encourage you in this process.
This new resource will launch February 27,2021 in partnership with Michael Moynagh of fresh expressions in the Church of England and Michael Beck, a UM pastor leading the Fresh Expressions movement in the United States.

WHAT DOES NEW PEOPLE NEW PLACES MEAN?
It means that we are equipping United Methodists to go out into physical and digital spaces and to meet new people in new places to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them through ongoing relationships.
WHAT IS THIS?
It's a yearlong experience that includes live webinar training, independent team learning of 17 modules at your own pace, and an ongoing cohort/incubator group to help you set goals and encourage you in this process.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Ideally, teams of at least two laity (possibly with a clergy partner) who want to start a Fresh Expression that emphasizes discipleship and multiplication into a network.
WHO IS LEADING IT?
Michael Moynagh, Michael Beck, with moderation by Bryan Tener and Baranda Fermin.
WHEN DOES IT START?
The official training will happen in a two-hour webinar session on Saturday, February 27 at 1 p.m. CDT.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
If your annual conference is an official partner with New People New Places, then there is no cost to you. Otherwise, the cost is $300 per team for the year.
IS THIS ONLY FOR UNITED METHODISTS?
No! While we are approaching this from a Wesleyan lens, it is open to anyone who wants to learn innovative ways to share the gospel and reach new people in new places!
How to Register
You may register up to 10 team members for $300. Indicate the number of registrants in the "QUANTITY (HOW MANY TEAM MEMBERS ARE YOU REGISTERING?)" field above.
At check-out, be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your type of fresh expression. (If you don't know, that's OK!)
- Your annual conference. If not United Methodist, your denomination.
- The name and email address of your team leader.
- The name and email address of all other team members.
Each team member you register will receive an email with instructions for accessing the webinar. The purchaser will receive a receipt with a list of all the participants.
To participate in the webinars, each person must have his/her own unique registration. You MUST provide the name and email address of each person you wish to have participate.
Webinars take place online via Zoom. After registering, you will receive an email from Zoom with instructions for accessing the webinar.
