The COVID-19 pandemic thrust many of us into the new territory of online worship, but churches have been exploring—or perhaps wandering through—the online space for decades. Nevertheless, the landscape has shifted since March 2020. Online and hybrid worship opportunities are now desired, if not required, in churches of all sizes, budgets, and contexts. We must recognize that the online environment is not just a space but a tool.
